In 2025, the National Health Research and Training Institute (formerly TDRC) was successfully recommended for transitioning from ISO 15189:2012 to ISO 15189:2022 by Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services (SADCAS) for compliance with the standards for medical laboratories.
With now over six years of accreditation, this demonstrates technical competency for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system.
